CREAMY SMOKED TROUT BAGELS
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can of Fish Wife smoked trout ( drained )
- 1/4 cup of cream cheese
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 1 minced shallot
- 1/4 cup of chopped dill
- 1 tsp New York Shuk preserved lemon paste ( you can sub minced preserved lemon, or zest of 1 lemon and juice of 1/2 lemon )
- aleppo pepper 1/4 tsp
- salt & fresh creaked pepper to taste
TOPPINGS:
- sliced heirloom tomatoes
- english cucumber sliced on a bias
- shaved radish
- celery leaf
- dill
- pickled shallot
- pickled mustard seed
- capers
METHOD TO MAKE THE SMOKED TROUT SPREAD:
- Place drained smoked trout to mixing bowl & flake finely
- Add cream cheese, greek yogurt, aleppo pepper and preserved lemon paste to bowl, mixed until completely incorporated
- Fold in the shallot and dill
- Season w/ salt & pepper
To serve -
Spread on a toasted bagel or baguette & top with your favorite toppings
