CREAMY SMOKED TROUT BAGELS

Smoked Trout Bagels
CREAMY SMOKED TROUT BAGELS
INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 can of Fish Wife smoked trout ( drained )
  • 1/4 cup of cream cheese 
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt 
  • 1 minced shallot 
  • 1/4 cup of chopped dill
  • 1 tsp New York Shuk preserved lemon paste ( you can sub minced preserved lemon, or zest of 1 lemon and juice of 1/2 lemon )
  • aleppo pepper 1/4 tsp
  • salt & fresh creaked pepper to taste

TOPPINGS:

  • sliced heirloom tomatoes
  • english cucumber sliced on a bias
  • shaved radish
  • celery leaf 
  • dill
  • pickled shallot 
  • pickled mustard seed
  • capers

 

METHOD TO MAKE THE SMOKED TROUT SPREAD:

  1. Place drained smoked trout to mixing bowl & flake finely 
  2. Add cream cheese, greek yogurt, aleppo pepper and preserved lemon paste to bowl, mixed until completely incorporated
  3. Fold in the shallot and dill
  4. Season w/ salt & pepper

To serve -

Spread on a toasted bagel or baguette & top with your favorite toppings
